The West Bromwich African Caribbean Resource Centre now employs over 90 people. The main operation is located at the registered office in Thomas Street, West Bromwich, West Midlands. The organisation is one of the largest within the Sandwell Voluntary Sector. The company is a private limited company.
Quality statement
West Bromwich African Caribbean Resource Centre are committed to giving the highest quality of service provision to our users, particularly but not exclusively the African Caribbean community of Sandwell.
In order to achieve this aim, the work of the Centre will encompass the following principles to ensure that good working practices and procedures are adhered to: privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment.
The standards will be appropriate to the working practices of the organisation & training of staff and carers to fulfil them.
The involvement of service users and those that purchase the service on their behalf will also ensure that standards are being met.
- Our commitment to quality is recognised via achieving the Practical Award in Community Excellence (PACE) in 2000, the Investors in People Quality Standard (2002) and more recently winning the African Caribbean Business Federation’s Community Excellence Award (2004).
- ALI gained grade 3 in all ALI report at first time of going through assessment in 2005.
- MATRIX standard achieved in 2005.
