Statement
Take part in the ACESS Young Peoples Development Programme targeting young people of African Caribbean and duel heritage origin but not exclusive to them, the programs are spread across the week and include:
- Study Support (Mondays & Tuesdays 4.00 - 5.30)
- Providing help in the areas of Maths, English, Science and I.T
- Venue: 1st Floor West House, Lombard Street West, West Bromwich, B70 8EG
Young Peoples Night
- Wednesday 7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m.
A dedicated young peoples night with a range of activities including African Drumming/Music Workshops, Dance and Drama/Singing, Photography and Video. In addition, there will be trips and visits.

West Bromwich African Caribbean Resource Centre Saturday School we believe that by working alongside your child's state school we can help with your child's development in the following ways:
- We follow National Curriculum guidelines in what we teach and assess
- All children will be taught in their Key Stage group
- We will be improving your child's literacy and numeracy skills
- More educational trips and visits will take place
- We will be making more positive links with our community.
Saturday School Aim
- Enable students to develop a positive self-image and self pride.
- Encourage self reliance and self confidence
- Enhance cultural identity
- Develop the students National Curriculum abilities in the core subjects Maths & English
- Develop the students numeracy and literacy skills and spellings
- Enhance and maintain the support network with local schools
- Provide and develop resources relevant for the appropriate Key Stage.
- Ensure that all staff are informed and delivering current educational initiatives
- Encourage and develop parental links and involvement in the Saturday School
- Provide workshops that encourage and inform parents of the many aspects of state education and how they can play an active part.
