Pat hails from Yorkshire and after taking a Bachelor's Degree in Education she soon decided that teaching children was not for her. She spent 15 years working for British Airways travelling to all corners of the globe. She is the mother of twins and is a grandmother as well.

Pat initially came as a temporary cover expecting to work for 2 weeks.

During her time she has seen the work grow and retract to mirror the various stages with the peaks during times of high unemployment and quieter times during close to full employment.
