Shirlee was born in Nottingham and moved to the West Midlands aged 12.
She attended Churchfields Comprehensive School in West Bromwich before attending
Keele University studying Art History.
Shirlee joined the Management Committee in 2008 and after being invited to manage
the ACRC Care Service on an interim basis she was appointed the Divisional Manager
in September 2010.
She worked in the media for 10 years as a Sales Executive and Paper Planner with
Birmingham Evening Mail and the Voice newspaper. Following this Shirlee worked for
9 years within various colleges in the West Midlands and holds a Training Quality
Assessors Award.
She spent 22 years within the Financial sector working in various roles within Nat
West Bank including Small Business Advisor, Mortgage Advisor and Account Manager
and was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in 1997 and a Service Excellence
Award in 1998.
She established a Domiciliary Care business which has been running for 15 years and
now combines this with her new role as Divisional Manager. Shirlee holds a Registered
Manager’s certificate as well as being a qualified Health Assessor and a member of
the British Institute for Cleaning Science.
