Sybil was educated at Wodensborough high school. Following this she trained and worked as nurse at Sandwell Hospital for a number of years, before specialising in Ophthalmic nursing.
She returned to full time education at Coventry University as mature student achieving a BA Honours degree in Social Science. This was followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance at Birmingham University.
For the past 18 years she has worked in services dedicated to ensuring that young people progres into positive leaning opportunities' with the Careers Service and Connexions.
She joined the Board in 2008.

Sybil is currently the Schools and College Manager for Sandwell Connexions, responsible for overseeing personal advisers work in schools across the borough and the local college.
